At the standard 8% rate, 100 tickets at KES 1,000 each generate KES 8,000.00 commission and KES 92,000.00 for the organizer. Calculations use the paid amount after any discount, rounded to the nearest cent. A couple ticket creates two QR admissions, but commission applies to the paid bundle total without doubling it.

Two ways to get paid

Choose what works for your organization.

NexaTickets collection & payouts

No organizer Daraja integration needed. Attendees receive an STK push using the platform’s configured M-Pesa account. Confirmed payments credit your net earnings after commission.

Request your available balance to your preferred M-Pesa phone or bank account. Funds are reserved while the administrator reviews and transfers them, then the verified transfer reference appears in your payout history.

Platform collection must be enabled and configured. Requests are reviewed and processed manually; submitting one does not instantly send money.

Your own M-Pesa / Daraja account

Configure your till or paybill and Daraja credentials. Ticket payments go directly to your account. You pay the platform commission separately.

Prepaid platform credit

Commission credit is reserved at booking, charged on confirmation and released for unpaid expired reservations.

Approved postpaid billing

An administrator can approve monthly invoices. Commission already deducted from platform-collected payments is not invoiced again.

A few things worth knowing.

When is commission earned?

Only on confirmed paid ticket sales. The percentage and commission are recorded on each reservation, so later rate changes do not alter that booking.

Is commission added to the buyer’s checkout?

No. The organizer absorbs it. Buyers pay the ticket total after any eligible discount.

What happens with parent discounts and couple tickets?

The commission is calculated on the final paid amount after the parent discount. A couple bundle has two QR tickets but is not charged twice on its full bundle price.

How do I request my earnings?

Choose NexaTickets collection in Payment settings. Confirmed earnings appear under Earnings & payouts. The account owner can request an available amount to a phone or bank account. Direct payments to your own account are not available for platform payout.

Does cancellation automatically refund an M-Pesa payment?

No. Cancellation disables tickets and reverses commission. For platform collection, earnings are removed and the platform records a pending buyer refund. Refunds are transferred externally and verified by the administrator. For direct collection, the organizer handles the buyer refund.

Can the rate change?

The administrator controls the standard percentage and approved organizer-specific rates. Changes apply to future reservations.
